Blake, Elizabeth N. View/Sign Guest Book BLAKE, ELIZABETH N., 85, of Fairdale, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital. She was the former Elizabeth McPherson, worked at Cochran Foil in the 1940's, was a member of First Baptist Church of Fairdale and a devoted housewife and homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Leslie Blake Jr; and her son, Jerry Blake. She is survived by her daughters, Judy Chesser (Larry), Sandy Tucker (Mark) and Gail Benzel (Danny); son, Steve Blake (Donna); grandchildren, Geneva Merideth (Rob), Mary and Sara Blake, Katina Marathe (Umesh), Raina Smithley (Brett), Branson Blake (Emily), Cheriece and Devin Blake, Josh and Derek Tucker, Dalaina Conway and Angela Butler (Raymond); great-grandchildren, Amber, Johnny and Justin Jaco, Tyra Willis, Deven and Maya Marathe, Halia, Kai and Brett Smithley, Aubrey Blake, Leslie Elizabeth and Jack Butler; sisters, Margie Morgan and Omega Colymer; and brother, Thomas McPherson (Joyce). Funeral service will be noon Friday at Fairdale-McDaniel Funeral Home, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is 1-8 p.m. Thursday and after 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
