Elizabeth Burnette

BURNETTE, ELIZABETH (TURN ER), 81, of Louisville, passed into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 8, 2008. She was a native of Monroe County, KY and a Baptist by faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Early Ray Burnette; parents, Sammie E. and Maudie Ann Turner; brothers, Rex, Addis and Eugene Turner; and sisters, Margaret Veach and Ceva Lee Turner. She is survived by her daughters, Janette Leanhart (William), Robin Ray (Ronald); son, Meredith Ray Burnette (Nedra Dennis); brothers, Jimmie, Roy and Roger Turner; sisters, Dean and Mary Ann Turner, and Darlene Wheat; grandchildren, Cynthia Liston (Keith), James Leanhart (Leslie), Christopher Burnette (Mystic), Ryan and Emily Ray; and great-grandchildren, Megan and Zachary Leanhart, Gabriella and Brandon Liston, Tyler Horn and Logan Burnette. The family would like to express their sincerest thanks and appreciation to her caregiver, Liz Day and the employees of Park Terrace. A celebration service of her life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at J.B. Ratterman & Sons-Southwest, 4832 Cane Run Road, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Thursday. Expressions of sympathy may be made to her favorite charities, American Cancer Society or Disable Veterans of America.
