Elizabeth Eichberger

Eichberger, Elizabeth B. "Betty" View/Sign Guest Book EICHBERGER, ELIZABETH "BETTY" B., 84, passed away February 12, 2009 with her family at her side. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, William "Bill" T. Eichberger; and her son, Mark W. Eichberger. She is survived by her children, George "Tom" T. Eichberger, John D. Eichberger Sr. (Mary), Richard M. Eichberger (Jo); 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Betty was a Catholic and a member of St. Helen and Most Blessed Sacrament parishes. Mrs. Eichberger was a dedicated mother and wife who raised her children with a clever wit and was never at a loss to turn a phrase. Betty was a 1942 graduate of Louisville Girls High School where she developed a love of reading. Her kitchen was always open to those who wanted a bowl of chili or a salmon patty dinner. Betty enjoyed her years as president of the local AARP Chapter at Incarnation Church. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Her memory will be cherished by those she touched. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is 1-7 p.m. Sunday at Arch L. Heady Westport Road. Memorial contributions may be given to Crusade for Children.
