Funeral Services for 70 year old Ellen L. Howerton of Cadiz will be Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Ponderosa Baptist Church with Rev. Norman Cotton officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-6:30p.m on Thursday at the Ponderosa Baptist Church. Burial will be on Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Louisville Memorial Gardens East in Louisville, KY with Visitation from 12:00-12:30 on Friday at the Stoess Funeral Home in Louisville. King's Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors: Husband of 48 years: Sonny Howerton, Cadiz, KY; Brothers & Sister-In-Law: Harry L. Davis, Carmel, IN; James E. & Marceil Davis, Anderson, IN; Sister: Ann R. Jones, Zephyrhills, FL; 6 Nieces & 1 Nephew.

Ellen was born in New Albany, IN on April 12, 1943 to the late Leland Davis and Grayce Oneita Baylor Cobel.

She died Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center following a short illness.

She had worked at Shaws Grocery Store and was a Homemaker. She was a member of the Ponderosa Baptist Church and was a Quilter and an award winning Quilter.
