Ellie Jean Morton - July 31, 2023 to September 8, 2023
Ellie Jean Morton, a precious fighter who entered this world alongside her twin brother at just 26 weeks, has left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who loved her. She was a source of strength and courage throughout her short time with us, and she will forever be cherished by her adoring mother and family.
Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Ellie brought joy and hope into the lives of everyone she encountered. Her spirit was resilient, shining brightly despite the challenges she faced from such an early age. Ellie's unwavering determination was truly awe-inspiring. Throughout her all-too-brief life, Ellie brought immeasurable joy to her family. Her mother Destiny Morton held a special place in her heart for her precious daughter and relentlessly advocated for her well-being. Ellie's lasting presence will forever be felt by those closest to her.
She now joins her loving grandmother Desirae Morton in eternal peace.
In addition to Destiny Morton, Ellie is survived by a loving family that includes George Morton (great-grandfather), Debra Morton (great-grandmother), Mason (twin brother), Heaven (sister), and Elijah (brother). Their love and support provided comfort to Ellie during her time on this earth.
A funeral service will be held at 2PM on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Homes West, 4400 Dixie Highway, with Pastor Larry Stoess officiating. Friends may call on Ellie's family from Noon until service time at the funeral home. Ellie will be laid to rest immediately following the funeral at Louisville Memorial Gardens Cemetery West.
Ellie Jean Morton's strength, resilience, and unwavering spirit have touched the lives of all who knew her. Though she may be gone too soon, her memory will live on, inspiring us to appreciate every precious moment and cherish the ones we love. She has left an indelible mark on our hearts, and we are truly blessed to have had the privilege of knowing her.
