Elmer Sander

Sander, Elmer "Joe" View/Sign Guest Book SANDER, ELMER "JOE," 69, of Taylorsville, passed away December 23, 2008 following an automobile accident. He was born December 13, 1939 in Seiling, OK. He was a retired pipefitter for B.F. Goodrich/ Zeon Chemicals after 32 years and a part time employee of Kroger's on Taylorsville Rd. He also was a graduate of Mutual High School class of 1957 in Mutual, OK where his classmates are setting up a scholarship fund in his honor. He attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK. and Southwestern State University in Weatherford, OK. He was also active in FFA and 4H. He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Taylorsville, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Maggie Sander. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Martha J. Sander; his sons, Tony L. Sander (Cheri), Mark L. Sander (Laura), daughters, Jill Sander Waldeck (J. Chris), Tami Sander (Sherry L. Bullock); brothers, Donald R. Sander, Charles O. Sander, of Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Daniel, Danielle, Nicholas and Derek. He will be remembered for his love of family, sense of humor, Nascar racing, U of L athletics, deSales High school football and Mercy Academy Basketball. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday December 29, 2008 at All Saints Catholic Church in Taylorsville, KY, with entombment in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is 1-8 p.m. Sunday, December 28, 2008 at Pearson Ratterman Brothers Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Rd.
