Elsie Maddox

Maddox, Elsie C. MADDOX, ELSIE C., 85, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2007. Born in Hart Co., KY, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Rella Choate. She was the owner and director of Elsie's Daycare and a member of Who's Who Registrar. She was preceded in death by her husband, Layton Maddox, Sr. Survivors include her children, Layton Maddox, Jr., Bonnie Cottrell (Gerald) and Linda Van Natta; grandchildren, Tammy Beaven (Rick), Jerri Lynn Cottrell and Layton "Barney" Maddox III; a great-grandchild, Hannah Beaven; and a sister, Lorene Warren. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Sunday and Monday. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
