Ernest Perry

PERRY, ERNEST "ERNIE," 70, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2013. He was a retired motor repairman for Gatterdam Electric after 42 years of service, a member of St. Stephen United Church of Christ and an Army veteran of the Vietnam Era. He was preceded in death by his parents, Almon Mason Perry and Florence Perry; his brothers, Roy Wayne Perry and Marvin Thomas Perry; and his sisters, Joyce Ann Walters and Barbara Sue Smith. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, the former Barbara Ford; daughter, Amanda Cecil (Jeffery); brothers, William Perry (Minnie), Almon Mason Perry, Jr. (Diane), Terry Perry, and Jerry Perry (Tammy); sisters, Evelyn Brown, Thelma Ruth Higdon, and Pam Pollard (Charlie); and two grandchildren known as "Paw Paw's Babies," Ally and Bryce Cecil. Thanks to the Baptist Health Staff, especially his angel nurses who helped us along this journey. Funeral Services will be noon on Monday November 25, 2013 at Ratterman Grand Chapels, 4832 Cane Run Road with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Sunday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Shively Area Ministries or St. Stephen United Church of Christ.
