WALKER, ERNEST RAY, 80, of Shepherdsville, KY passed away Friday June 28, 2014 at his home.
Ray was a native of Corbin, KY, a retired locomotive engineer for the L & N & CSX Railroad. He was a U. S. Air Force veteran during the Korean conflict and a member of Thixton Lane Baptist Church Shawnee Masonic Lodge #830.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Kevin Goldsmith.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Ruth L. (Mobley); three children, Michael Walker (Gail), Sandra Payne (Frank) and Lonnie Walker; seven grandchildren, Jason and Jeremy Payne, Katie Walker, Lauren Payne, Laura Walker, Linzey and Lexi Walker; and three great-grandchildren, Katie, Jayme and Kason.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday at the Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday and after 11 a.m. Monday.
