COOPER, ETHEL SPECKNER, 91, of Louisville passed away January 28, 2012 with her beloved daughter by her side.
She was a former employee for Western Union & member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin W. Cooper, sisters Mildred Whelan and Mary Beatty; brother George Speckner Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Michele Renee Thomas; numerous nieces and nephews; special friend, Paula Stinnett and also beloved pets. Special thanks to neighbors, Ivan Parsons and Mike Thompson of Kenwood Baptist Church.
Funeral service: 2 p.m. Monday, January 30, 2012 at O.D. White Funeral Home, 2727 S. Third St. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the KY Humane Society, Shamrock Foundation, Animal Care Society or No-Kill Louisville. Please visit www.odwhiteandsons.com
