Ethel Gividen

GIVIDEN, ETHEL K., 94, of LaGrange, passed away Thursday, September 6, 2007. She was a retired cafeteria manager at Oldham County High School, and a retired aid at the old Mallory Taylor Hospital, a member of DeHaven Baptist Church and a life-long member of the Rob Morris Chapter of Eastern Star. She is preceded in death by her husband Webb Gividen; sister, Helen Smith; and brother, Norvel Colbert. She is survived by a son, B.G. "Bill" Gividen; daughters, Jereline Barkhau (Julius), Sue Ballard; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, September 10 at DeHaven Baptist Church with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Heady Radcliffe, LaGrange and 10 a.m. until the service Monday at her church. An Eastern Star service will take place 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial gifts may go to the Senior Fund at her church.
