Eudora Burns

Burns, Eudora T. (Evans) View/Sign Guest Book BURNS, EUDORA T. (EVANS), 95, a native of Clermont, KY, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2009 at Baptist Hospital East with her loving family around her. She was a member of Shively Baptist Church for the past 35 years, where she taught Sunday school and was an assistant librarian in the church library. She was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, Morace Burns; and a grandson, Brandon Gagel. She is survived by her daughter, Willa Louise Fougnie (Emil); grandchildren, Tom Starnes (Sue), Kay Rivoli (Ron), Sandy Gagel (Dwayne) and Steven Steele; step-grandchildren, Cindy Blount (David), Kirk Fougnie (Cheryl) and Jeff Fougnie; great-grandchildren, Adam, Tyler, Aaron, Brittany (Josh), Michael, Jonathan, Kenneth, Angie and Nick; great-great-grandchildren, Austin, Isabel and Cory. The family would like to express sincere appreciation to the staff at the Forum at Brookside for their compassionate and gentle care of Eudora prior to her fatal illness. Many thanks also to the staff at Baptist East Park Tower 4th and 5th floors and to the Hospice personnel during her last days with us. A celebration of Mrs. Burns life will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Southern Home of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2009. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus or Shively Church Library.
