Eugene John Lentz "Geno" Share E-mail Visit Guest Book LENTZ, EUGENE JOHN "GENO," 78, of Louisville, passed away Friday, September 4, 2009 at home.
He was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church and worked for South Central Bell for over 40 years. He was a member of Telephone Pioneers and was a Kentucky Colonel.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Emaline Lentz; brothers, Earl and Jerome Lentz; and sister, Annie Langley.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Martha Jean Lentz; children, Eugene J. Lentz Jr., Patrick L. Lentz (Tina), Joan M. Milkint (Bruce), Judith A. McCubbins (Tony), Frances E. Distler (David), Gregory M. Lentz (Shawna), Timothy C. Lentz (Jill), and Andrea L. Wright (Billy); 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brothers, Joe Lentz (Kotzie) and Ray Lentz; and sisters, Delores Parr and Mildred Harris (Lloyd).
Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 10801 Deering Road with entombment to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West Mausoleum. Visitation will be noon-8 p.m. Monday and after 9 am Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy.
