Evelyn Raggard

Evelyn Kessinger Raggard RAGGARD, EVELYN KESSINGER, 80, of Louisville, died Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Baptist East, Palliative Care Hospital.
Preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Viola Kessinger; brother, Jerry Kessinger; and her loving husband of 61 years, Reginald "June" Raggard Jr.
She was a member of Beechland Baptist Church. Evelyn excelled in every endeavor she attempted and added her own special unique "Spice of Life." In addition to her excellent seamstress and cooking skills, she enjoyed painting, photography, reading, singing, playing the piano and spending time with her loyal dog, Sophie. Her most joyous time was the years she spent selling produce at Farmer's Market.
Survivors include four brothers, Glen Kessinger, Frank Kessinger, William (Brenda) Kessinger, Joe (Grace) Kessinger; two sisters, Virginia Goatley and Earlene (Alan) Drew; five children, Nancy (Bob) Jewell, Edward (Jackie) Raggard, Dr. Diane (Dr. Charles) Wright, Mark (Cathy) Raggard, and Robin (Cindy) Raggard; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Viewing will be held at Heady Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie HIghway, Louisville, KY 40258 on Friday April 9, 2010 from 1-8 p.m. and the memorial service is on Saturday, April 10 2010 at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Louisville Memorial Gardens West Cemetery.
