Evelyn Schaffner

SCHAFFNER, EVELYN MARGARET (NOE), 94, went to meet her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, October 22, 2013. After years of service, she retired from Armour Packing and was a member of Church of God of Prophecy. She is preceded in death by her parents, Birdie and Amos Noe; her husbands, the Rev. Frank Speed and Chester H. Schaffner; and stepsons, John and Jackie Schaffner. She is survived by her loving son, Fred W. Speed (Lois); stepson, Hank Schaffner; four granddaughters, Stephanie, Mary, Jessica and Ashley; and eight great-grandchildren. Her funeral will be 12 noon Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Friday.
