Ewell was the son of Byron and Lola Roberts.
He was survived by son Byron A. and Ellen Roberts; grandson, Maxwell B. Roberts; and granddaughter, Dakota Bowman.
Ewell graduated from Male High School, active in the ROTC program and he received an associate degree from U of L. He was an avid bowler, retired from Xerox and an Air Force veteran.
Funeral service celebrating Ewell's life will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Friday.
