Florence Saffer

Florence Pearl Saffer, 73, wife to the late James W. Saffer, Sr., passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday January 1, 2019 at Baptist Health.  She was born to the late John and Lillian (Hinton) Wolford in Louisville on February 28, 1945.

Florence was a member of the Iris Society, volunteered at the Louisville Zoo in the Nature Center, and worked at Churchill Downs.

She is survived by her children, Tiffany Durr (Eben), James W. Saffer, Jr. (Crystal), grandchildren, Travis, Lacey, Sara, and Zachary Durr along with her sister Diane Begley (Vernon).

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 12:00 pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens Services, 4400 Dixie Highway.  Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 pm at the funeral home.
