HINTON, FRANCIS X., born 1923 to Malcolm and Edwina Hinton of Breckinridge County, KY, has returned home to his beloved God.
Waiting for him there are his loving wife, Helen, daughters, Karen Hinton and Vickie Johnson. Francis was a devoted father and dedicated member of St. Lawrence Church. He spent many volunteer hours at St Lawrence and the various Catholic schools his children attended. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from American Standard, where he worked as a welder and served as labor union representative.
He leaves here for a while longer, children Jean Varble, Linda Kanai and husband Sam, Raymond Hinton and Rita, Mike Hinton and Deborah, Cathy Snyder and Don; grandchildren David, Sam, Sara, Matthew, Mendy, Angela, Michael, Adam, Shaina, Daniel, and Leah; 12 great grandchildren; one great- great grandchild; siblings Stella Fogle, Betty Payne, Bud Hinton and Betty as well as many nieces and nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Keenan's Funeral Home, 4724 Dixie Hwy. Funeral Mass is noon Monday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, with burial immediately following at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
