GREENWELL, FRANK E., 73, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2011. He fought a courageous battle with pain and suffering.
He was a retired truck driver and union steward for Local #89, a member of the Seneca Men's Golf Club and an avid golfer. He was a member of Sts. Simon & Jude Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Irene Greenwell; and brothers, George and James Greenwell.
Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Viena Greenwell; five children, Eddie Greenwell, Wayne Greenwell, Kevin Greenwell (Trish), Cindy Shannon (Jeff) and Frankie James Greenwell (Juanita); one sister, Barbara Riedling; seven grandchildren, James, Scott, Josh, Jennifer, Michelle, Allen and Aaron; 14 great-grandchildren; six brothers-in-law; eight sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews. He was loved by his family dearly.
His funeral will be Thursday at noon at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. Burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is noon-8 p.m. Wednesday. Online condolences to at owenfuneralhome
