Franklin Davis

DAVIS, FRANKLIN ALVIS, 81, of Louisville, died Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at his residence. He was a retired set up worker for General Electric, a veteran of the Korean War and a lifetime member of the VFW. He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Davis. He is survived by his wife Susan; three daughters, Karen Coates (Bruce), Brenda Jones (Tom) and Mary Stanley (Gary); five sons, Tony Davis (Katie), Chris Davis (Cindy) Mitchell Cruse, Gary Cruse (Toni) and Paul Cruse; 11 grandchildren, Nathen, Nicholas, Christian, Michelle, Stephanie, Jessica, Jeremy, Hollie, Tommy, Christina and Casey; 10 great-grandchildren, Mercedes, Zack, Kamry, Cole, Johnathan, Carson, Katelyn, Hannah, Brennan and Isabelle; two sisters, Helen Carter and Ruth Huff (Alan); and a brother, Johnny Davis (Dolly). Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Stoess Funeral Home, Crestwood. Burial will follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be Wednesday, 2-8 p.m. and Friday 10 a.m. until time of service. Memorial gifts may be made to Hosparus of Louisville.
