Fred Decore

DeCore, Fred View/Sign Guest Book DeCORE, FRED, 73, of Louisville, passed away of natural causes Wednesday, September 19, 2007. He was born in Chicago, IL to the late Harry and Eva DeCore. He was a Korean War veteran and member of the VFW Post 5421. He retired from Naval Ordnance in 1989 and has been enjoying his retirement working as a ranger at Sun Valley Golf Course. He was a member of Incarnation Catholic Church, Incarnations Senior Club, parish council and a Kentucky Colonel. He was a loyal UK fan and avid Chicago Cubs fan. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Marlene (Okey) DeCore ; three daughters, Rhonda Goodin (Ricky), Kelly Dunavent (Phil) and Angie Deddens (Lenny); five grandchildren, Kevin Roseberry (Heather), Lindsey Roseberry (Jeff), Sean Smith (Stephanie), Nikki Wilcox and Courtney Deddens; three great-grandchildren, Hannah Dotson, Kaeden Carmine Smith and Madison Roseberry; two brothers, Bob DeCore (Donna) and Don DeCore (Carol); and sister-in-law, Barbara Okey. Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday at Incarnation Catholic Church, 2229 Lowers Hunters Trace, with interment at Louisville Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 1-8 p.m. Friday and 9:30- 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy.
