Frederick Gill Jr., 72, husband of Linda Bruce Gill, died Saturday August 3, 2019 at Jewish Medical Center Southwest. He was born January 12, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan the son of the late Frederick T. & Rosario Spano Gill.

Frederick was a lathe operator with C. Lee Cook for 45 years, a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, a Mason and Shriner. He was also a U.S. Army Purple Heart Recipient having served as a tank commander in the Viet Nam War.

Besides his wife of 49 years he leaves to cherish his memory, daughters, Amy Marble (Trey Poddam) and Sarah Williamson (Preston), brothers, Thomas Gill and Robert Gill (Karlene) and nephew Freddie. Grandchildren, David, Lou and Braden also survive.

A service celebrating Frederick’s life will be held at 6:00 PM Thursday, August 8, 2019, at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Hwy, followed by a Masonic service.  Visitation will be from 4:00 pm Thursday until service time.

The family has kindly suggested memorials to the American Heart Association.
