Freeman Young

Young, Freeman E. YOUNG, FREEMAN E., 81, husband of Dorothy Forrest Young, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2007. Born in Metcalf County, he was the son of the late Jack and Suzie Young. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and was a member of the Dixie Valley Church of God. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tina Michelle Young. Survivors other than his wife of 56 years include his children, Wallace "Wally" Young, Joyce Bridwell (Danny) and Donald Young (Denise); brother, Jimmy Young; sisters, Dolly Garrett, Lorene Robertson and Christine Wilson; grandchildren, Danny Bridwell Jr. (Kim), Shawn Bridwell, Matthew Young (Diane), Corey Young, Patrick Young and Andrew Young; and great- grandson, Baby Braxton. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Saturday and 1-9 p.m. Sunday and Monday.
