Frieda VanNatta

Frieda Marie passed on to our heavenly father Saturday November 1, 2014 after a long battle with Dementia/Alzheimer.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Edward VanNatta, her son David, sisters Faye Merget, and Opal Feldman. She leaves behind a brother Wes Marlar (Arlene), son Michael VanNatta, daughters Kathy Candell (Joe), Cindy Rankin (Bill), and Debbie Votaw (David Hurley) along with grandchildren Becky, Bethany, Ryan, Chad, Sarah, Ashley, Kelly, Trey, Brooke, and great grandchildren Logan, Emaline, Piper, Zachary, Kate Lynn, Hayden, and Jackson. Her many nieces and nephews will miss her.
Frieda was a beautiful spirit who loved to laugh and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She and her husband Clarence operated VanNatta's Market in Louisville's Southend, was a dance instructor for Arthur Murray, and runner-up in the Miss Coney Island Cincinnati beauty contest 1947. She was a longtime 4H club leader and sang for many years in the St. Peters Episcopal Church choir.
Her family wishes to express their gratitude to Baptist East Hospital Palliative care team for their wonderful care and kindness.
