FLATT, GAITHER WILLIAM, 74, went to be with his Heavenly Father, November 19, 2011 at Jewish Hospital with his loving family at his side.
Born in Louisville, he lived in Shepherdsville for 11 years. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather. He was a member and also a Deacon of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Shepherdsville. He was a Boy Scout leader, Demolay leader, a member of the PRP Masonic Lodge #959 where he was also 1983 Past Master. He retried after 41 years of service with General Electric.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Jo Ann (Page) Flatt; two sons, Jim Flatt (Diane) and Steve Flatt; two grandchildren, Stacey and James; and three brothers, Rethel, Jewel and Don.
His funeral will be 1p.m. Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. Burial is in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation: 1-8 p.m. Tuesday, with a Masonic Service being held at 7 p.m.
