Green Jr., George A. View/Sign Guest Book GREEN, GEORGE A. JR., 84, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2009. He was a retired industrial engineer for Interlake, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of the Destroyer Escort Assn. U.S. Naval Institute, VFW 1170, American Legion 229, Coast Guard Auxiliary, Sons & Daughters of Pioneer Rivermen, and Kyana Woodworkers. He was also active in Beechmont Youth Baseball, Sea Explorer Ship Zachary Taylor and a 40 year Scouter. Survivors include two sons, Douglas G. (Mary Lynn) and Roger L. (Cindy) Green; daughter, Patricia L. Stanfill (Mike) and sister Ann Wilson; five granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral service: 10 a.m. Saturday at Nunnelley Funeral Home, 4327 Taylor Blvd., with entombment in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Friday.
