George Kostin

KOSTIN, GEORGE T., 87, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at Baptist Hospital North East Hospice Unit in LaGrange, KY. He was preceded in death by his wives, Marilynn and Rita Kostin; son, John T. Kostin; and granddaughter, Lisa Luzney. He was a retired sales manager for Western & Southern Insurance Co., a World War II veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, and a member of the Knights of Columbus and American Legion Dixie Post 220. He is survived by his sons, George W., Edward James, Robert J. and Richard C. Kostin; sisters, Mary Hanson and Melvina Keating; 16 grandchildren; 10 great- grandchildren; and his companion, Myrtle Teague. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Denis Catholic Church, 4205 Cane Run Road, with entombment at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Sunday at J.B. Ratterman & Sons-Southwest, 4832 Cane Run Road. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
