MORRIS, GEORGE W., 78, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2009, at Meadowview Health and Rehab.
He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean War. He retired after many years from Ten Pin Lanes. George loved sports and horse racing.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Verna Morris He is survived by four sons, Daniel Morris, Tony Morris (Alice), Gary Morris (Judith) and Ron Morris (Cathy); three sisters, Barbara Goode, Judy Haynes, and Deloris McKeowin; a brother, Ronald Morris; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
His funeral service is 2 p.m. Wednesday at Arch L Heady and Son Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 7410 Westport Road, with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will precede the funeral service from 10 a.m. -2 p.m. Wednesday.
