George Ricky Maurice Thornton, Sr., 60, passed away Monday December 1, 2014 at Robley Rex Veterans Medical Center. He was born to the late George H. Thornton and Bessie Gentry Thornton in Jeffersonville, Indiana on June 8, 1954.
He worked as a carpenter for Dan Woods Woodworking. He was also an Army Veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years Sandra Ross Thornton, sons; Anthony Hacker and George Ricky Maurice Thornton, Jr. and step-children; Angela Hochadel and Gerald Holland along with siblings; Chris and Mark Thornton, and Rosalind Brown and Andrea Thornton.
