Gerald "Jerry" Lyons LYONS, GERALD "JERRY," 71, passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2010.
He was a retired employee of Yellow Freight, a member of Teamsters Local 89. an avid U of K fan, and a member of Incarnation Catholic Church, where he was treasurer of the Booster Club and a member of the Seniors Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his great-grandson, Kameron Moran.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 51 years, Linda (Board) Lyons; his children, Laura Lyons, Jerry Lyons (Detra), Terry Lyons (Heather), Lynn Lyons and LaDonna Martin (David); ten grandchildren, Nikki (Ryan), Amber, Heather (Eddie), Austin, Mariah, Christopher, Lauren, Dylan, Nicholas and Nathan; three great-grandchildren, Ryan Jr., Shyanne and Karma; brothers, Jim, Larry and Terry Lyons; and his sister, Cheri Koenig.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at Incarnation Catholic Church, 2229 Lower Hunters Trace with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway. Condolences to owenfuneralhome.com.
