Gertude Wherry

WHERRY, GERTRUDE, 96, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2008. She was born on January 27, 1911, daughter of J.B. and Etta Brooks. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Middletown. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Cyril F. Wherry. Survived by her daughter, Regina Lucas (Don); grandson, John C. Young; stepgranddaughter, Michelle Stutzman (Cary); stepgrandsons, Ray Lucas and Travis Lucas (Jessi); 11 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Magdaline Campbell. Funeral services will be on Saturday at the Pearson-Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, Middletown at 1:00 p.m. Burial to follow in the Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Family will receive guests on Friday from 3 -8 p.m.
