HESS, GLADYS MAE MILLER, 84, died Friday, March 11, 2011 at Golden Living Center-St. Matthews.
She had been a resident at the Masonic Home in Shelbyville, KY and a resident and native of Louisville. She was a dedicated homemaker and had worked in the deli for 10 years at Holiday Manor Kroger.
She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Abundant Life Christian Church, both of Blackshear, GA. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, David M. Hess; her sisters, Margaret Patterson and Olean Sharp Robards; and brother, Gilbert Miller.
She is survived by sons, David W. Hess (Sharon), Shelbyville and Daryl L. Hess, Corbin, KY; granddaughter, Michelle Groves (Billy); great-grandson, David Johnson and great-granddaughter, Chassity Groves.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Monday at J. B. Ratterman & Sons Grand Chapels, 4832 Cane Run Road. Entombment: Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Sunday.
