Goldie Mathus

MATHUS, GOLDIE MAE, 87, of Okolona, passed away Monday, August 20, 2007 at the Baptist Hospital. She was the former Goldie Fields, a native of Laurel County, Kentucky and a member of the Jackson Hill General Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Mathus; four brothers, Windell, John, Walter and Russell Fields. She is survived by four sisters, Ellen Gambrel, Lucy Tate, Geraldine Gentry and Ada Desurne; two brothers, Park Fields and Monroe Fields; and a host of nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be noon on Thursday at Arch L. Heady & Son, Okolona with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Jackson Hill General Baptist Church.
