GODBY, GRACE T., 95, of Louisville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Springhurst Health and Rehabilitation.
She was born to Azro and Vivian Mefford in Butler County, KY, on May 21, 1916. She was retired from Brown & Williamson and a member of the First Church Of The Nazarene. Grace was preceded in death by her husbands, Albert S. Holston and Robert Otto Godby, Sr.; brother and sisters, Procter Mefford, Louise Fortney, Billie Burton, Jessie Phelps, and Cassie Penrod.
She is survived by her children, Charles S. Holston and James A. Holston (Dolores); grandchildren, Angela, Tim, Scott, James A. Jr. (Christie), Richard (Maureen) and Michael Holston (Eileen) and seven great-grandchildren.

A service to celebrate Graces' life will be noon on Saturday at the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday. Memorial gifts may be made to the donor's choice.
