Gregory Allen McBride, 65, of Louisville died peacefully in his sleep February 11, 2022.  After 36 years working Maintenance he retired from Jefferson County Public Schools.  He was a talented and skilled contractor that could build just about anything.  In his free time he loved to fish or to just be in a boat on the water, but his favorite times were spent with the ones he loved.  With his memorable smile and laugh Greg had such a big protective heart.  When around him, you knew you were cared for and loved.

Greg was preceded in death by his Mother-Shirley Bell, Stepfather-Russell Bell, Sister-Sonna Snyder, Father-Gene McBride and his dog - Buster.
The ones Greg lived for, and is survived by, his loving wife of 47 years Mary McBride and daughters Tracy Mattingly and Tammy Elder (Joe),  Grandchildren - who were the light of his life-  Jake, Jada, Bryce and Bo, Grand-dog, Daisy Mae, Brother-Gary McBride (Tammy), Sister-Jenny Beck (Rick), and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

In honor of Greg’s wishes he asked that everyone remember him with the good times you shared…. We all know that his fishing hook is already in heaven’s lake.

A small funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 followed by burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. 4400 Dixie Hwy, 40216.
