Guy Playforth

Playforth Sr., Guy Francis View/Sign Guest Book PLAYFORTH, GUY FRANCIS SR., 86, of Louisville, passed away Friday, November 9, 2007 at Westminster Terrace Nursing Home. He was a retired barber, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the VFW Iroquois Hill Post #6182. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Edith Padgett; and brother, Bernard Playforth. Guy is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margaret Playforth; children, Sharolyn Pepper, Charles Playforth, Guy Playforth Jr. and Barbara Hyatt; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Cornett; and several nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. Monday and after 11 a.m. Tuesday.
