Nelson, Hallie Mae Mudd,84, passed away peacefully at her home, Azalea Hills Assisted Living Community on Sunday, December 28, 2014. She was born on July 16, 1930, in Grayson County, KY, to the late Thomas Ray Mudd and Mary Rhea Higdon Mudd. She was a member of Faith Chapel Baptist ChurchShe was preceded in death by her husband, Slayton Nelson; siblings, Mildred, Tommy and Norma Jean.Hallie is survived by two daughters, Judy Ann Nelson Hunt (Douglas), and Debra Lynn Jaggers (Earl);two grandchildren, Heather Lynn Hunt Kiesler (Wesley), and Joshua Aaron Jaggers; one great-grand child: Corbin Hunt Kiesler; siblings, Maudie Dowell of Brooks, KY, Mary Ann Dennison of Leitchfield, KY, and Donnie Mudd of Leitchfield, KY.Funeral service will be Friday, January 2, 2015, at 12 noon at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. with visitation Thursday 3-8 p.m.; Burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.In lieu of flowers, send memorials to Hosparus of Southern Indiana 502 Hausfeldt Ln., New Albany, IN, 47150.Online condolences may be made at www.owenfunealhome.com
