COATES, HAZEL MARIE, 90, of Louisville, passed away Saturday April 6, 2013 at her residence.

She was a longtime member of Cane Run Road General Baptist Church and a current member of Grace Tabernacle.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jepp and Rusha Shepherd; sister, Earcel Litton and brother, Dorman Shepherd.

She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Clarence E. Coates; sons, Dr. Darrell Coates (Reba) and Rev. Denny Coates (Donna); daughters, Norma Gee (Ron) and Marilyn Curtis (Dr. Gregg); nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Ratterman Grand Chapels, 4832 Cane Run Road, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday.
