Psalm 86:5 (NKJV)
For you Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon you.
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Hazel Mae Poe on April 4, 2022. We will miss her dearly, yet we also rejoice with her as she meets her heavenly Father, Lord and Savior Jesus.
Hazel was born December of 1935 in Ohio County Kentucky with her mother and father and five siblings. Still living are her brothers Milton Wright, David Wright and John Wright. Virginia Ashford and Elton Wright passed before her.
Hazel was married to Don Poe who is predeceased. They loved going to movies and taking drives to Gatlinburg together.
Hazel was a very hard worker and retired from General Electric Company. This was a satisfying achievement for her.
Hazel was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Her greatest accomplishment was raising her three daughters, Rita Siegwald, Debbie Cook and Kimberly Rose whom she modeled forgiveness, grace, laughter and determination. One of her major trials was the loss of her daughter, Debbie.
Hazel’s role as a grandmother was fun loving, and she adored them all: Eric Siegwald, Lindsay Rafferty, Kelli Cook, Robert Capuano, Lily Rose, Jacob Rose. And, another loss was her grandson, Craig Siegwald.
Hazel was blessed with other additions to whom she cared for. Amanda and Jordan Tallon, Craig, Andy and Eli Rafferty, Austin Martinez, Tommy Hyland, and Lia Ferraccio.
The last, but not least little love and joy was her one-year-old great grandson, Ryker Rafferty (who called her Gigi). Such a blessing to her.
Hazel will always be remembered by her love, strength, laughter, and spunkiness……….oh and basketball!
Psalm 16:8
I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With Him at my right hand, I will not be shaken
