Helen Mingus

MINGUS, HELEN B., 82, of Shepherdsville, returned to her Heavenly Father, Thursday, April 24, 2014. Mrs. Mingus was born in Breckinridge County, KY, to the late Arthur Paul and Mary Lee Poole Beauchamp. She was a retiree of Capital Holding, a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 153 and Immanuel Baptist Church. Among those who preceded her in death include, her husband, Carl Denver Mingus; parents; and sister, Lynda Thornhill. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Beverly Gayle Bledsoe, Ronald Carl Mingus (Nardina), Steven Wayne Mingus and Michael Keith Mingus (Lee Ann); seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Roy Thomas Beauchamp. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Friends may pay their respects on Monday from 2-8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. on Tuesday at Schoppenhorst.
