ADKINS, HENRY E., 83, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2012.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kelly Wilhelm; and brother, Walter, Jim, and Allen Adkins.
Henry was a U.S. Army veteran, retired from Devoe & Reynolds Paint Co and was a member of Masonic Lodge 545 and Southeast Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Lillie Hall Adkins; daughters, Sandra D. Wilhelm, Lois Jean Wyman (Richy), Martha E. Rhodes and Elizabeth K. Meyer (Sam); son, Henry E. Adkins, Jr. (Sue); brother, Doug Adkins (Chris); sisters, Mary Hardin, Dorothy Marsh (Jack) and Lillian Lillpop; grandchildren, Tracy, Eric, Jerry, Jeff, Richie, Carrie, Nick, Michelle, Wesley, Melissa and Steven; and 16 great-grandchildren His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Friday at Highlands.
