COLYER, HEWETT J. JR., 90, of Louisville, passed away June 24, 2013 at St. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital with his family by his side.
He was a devote Christian and member of Shively Christian Church, where he'd served as Deacon, Elder and Teacher for many years. He retired from International Harvester.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hewett and Mary; his beloved wife, Vesta (Ted); and his grandson, Tim Colyer.
He is survived by his son, Mike Colyer (Darlene); and his granddaughter, Melissa Fretwell (Will) and her children Ryan and Tyler. He will be missed dearly and remembered with great love and affection by all who knew him.
His funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy. with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West, in Shively. Visitation will be 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. Wednesday and prior to the service on Thursday.
