Boyd, Hubert Ray View/Sign Guest Book BOYD, HUBERT RAY, 90, of Louisville, born April 5, 1918 in Bristol, KY, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at Christian Care Communities. Mr. Boyd was a graduate of the University of Louisville in 1949 with a bachelor's in accounting, a retired accountant from Indiana Glass and Sand Company, a World War II Army veteran, serving in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater receiving four Bronze Stars, a Philippine Liberation Ribbon with Bronze Star and a life member of Iroquois Hill VFW Post 6182. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Hubert and Maggie L. Simpson Boyd; brothers, Tracy and Aubrey Boyd; and sister, Edythe Williams. He is survived by one sister, Elizabeth Vernon; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at O. D. White & Sons, 2727 S. Third St. with military honors, and burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Sunday.
