BARNES, HUGH ELDRED SR., 93, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2011 at his home in LaGrange, KY.
He was a member and deacon of Westport Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his son, Hugh E. Barnes, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Irene Smith Barnes; two sons, Willard (Joy) and Paul Barnes; two daughters, Elaine Gardner and Cindy (Craig) Retzlaff; daughter-in-law, Mary Sue Barnes; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Earl Barnes.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Oldham County Funeral Home, 706 W. Jefferson St., LaGrange, KY with private burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday.
Expressions of sympathy to the Westport Baptist Church Life Center Building Fund.
