HARDESTY, H. CHRISTOPHER, 49, a native of Owensboro, KY, passed away Friday, March 16, 2012, in the Hosparus unit at Norton Pavilion Hospital.

Chris was a maintenance technician at NTS Development Corporation. He was a previous member of St. John Vianney and a current member of Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church. He was the athletic director, t-ball, softball and football coach at St. John Vianney. He also coached volleyball and softball at Notre Dame Academy. He was a devoted counselor and staff member for over 20 years at Camp Marc, a Honorary Kentucky Colonel and a diehard U of L fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Edna Hardesty; and mother-in-law, Anna Crook.

He is survived by his loving wife, of 25 years, Lynne Hardesty; beloved children, Adam Hardesty (Chase) and Lindsey Hardesty; grandson, Jaxon; siblings, Charlene Crump, Dennis Hardesty (Anna), Bill Hardesty (Paula), Joni Blair (Dennis), Vicki Osborne (David), Shirley Bauer, Monti Millay (Eddie), James Hardesty (Debbie), Terri Canales (Henry), Joe Hardesty and Mitch Hardesty (Lee); and all his extended family and friends.

His funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, 10 a.m. at Mary Queen of Peace, 4005 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens-West. Visitation: noon-8 p.m. Monday at Joseph E. Ratterman & Son, 7336 Southside Dr.
