Ida Mannix

Mannix, Ida Jeanette (Wessman) MANNIX, IDA JEANETTE (WESSMAN), 83, of Louisville passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at Clark County Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the First Alliance church and the Indiana Teachers Union. Ida was a graduate of Indiana University with a masters degree and received her Bachelors degree from Taylor University. Ida taught at the Canadian Bible College and six years as a Missionary teachery in Quito Equador, Ida retired from Indiana public school system after twenty years of service. She is survived by her husband, Ben Mannix; three sons, Ben Jr., Tim and Brian Mannix; two daughter's, Martha Mannix and Laura Kuniholm; one brother, Henry Wessman Jr.; four sisters, Verona Burg, Lorna Keil, Stella Keil and Barbara Weaver; grandchildren, Jenny and Kerry Mannix, Mindy Thompson, Amanda Reeb, Jordan and Triston Mannix, Erica, Ben, Drew, Jessie and David Kuniholm. A celebration of Ida's life will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the First Alliance Church 3726 Bardstown Rd. Interment will take place in Louisville Memorial Gardens West cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. at The Southern Home of Arch L. Heady & Son 3601 Taylor Blvd.
