ENNIS, IRENE WATERS, born October 20, 1928, passed away on May 15, 2010.
Irene was the daughter of Sylvester and Ellen Waters, a graduate of Caverna High School, Hart Co., KY and retired from Jefferson County, Property Valuations Office. She was a longtime member of Auburndale Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eursie "Jack" Ennis; and three siblings, Lucille Newton, Sylvester "Toby" Waters Jr. and Jane Revlett.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Lynn and Lyn Ennis; three sisters-in-law, Bretia M. Stumbaugh, Margie Waters and Marjorie Dalton; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at J. E. Ratterman & Son, 7336 Southside Dr. with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens-West, where she will rejoin her husband of 42 living and loving years. Visitation: 5-8 p.m. Monday.
The family would like to thank the staff of Blue Grass Assisted Living and Life Care Center, both in Bardstown, KY.
