He was a former G.E. worker and belonged to Local 761.
Ivan was preceded in death by his son Patrick.
He is survived by his three sons, Kevin (Jan), Jeff (Wendy) and Tim (Della) Skeeters; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and his loving partner, Helen Gilpin.
Funeral service for Mr. Skeeters will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway. Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. Tuesday until service time.
