James Ashby Sr

James W. Ashby, Sr., 71, husband to Nancy Garriott Ashby, passed away Monday December 21, 2015 at Norton Downtown. He was born to the late Thomas G., Sr. and Delma Canterberry Ashby in South Charleston, W. Virginia. He was also preceded in death by brother Thomas Ashby, Jr. and sister Margie Ashby.
James was a retired truck driver for Rohm Haas, an Army Veteran, and a retired Major for the Jefferson County Sherriff's Department.
Besides his wife he is survived by children; James Ashby, Jr. (Shannon), Chris Ashby (Lisa), Grace Garrison (Travis), Louis Ashby (Katie), Lyndsey Beard (Scott), grandchildren; Christopher, Hanna, Chloe, Toby, Emma, and Addi along with siblings; Margaret Jividen, David, Sr., Joe, and Paul Ashby and his caregiver Shirley Jackson.
