BROWN, JAMES C., 69, of Okolona, returned to his Heavenly Father Monday, December 3, 2012.

Mr. Brown was born December 13, 1942 in Danville, KY, and was a United States Air Force veteran who served during Vietnam. He worked as a wholesale manager in the heating and air conditioning trade in Elizabethtown, KY, and was a member of Brooks Baptist Church.

Among those who preceded him in death include his mother, Elizabeth Brown Padgett.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 48 years, Virginia Brown; children, Thomas Brown (Cindy Street), Elizabeth Marie Raymer (Mike) and Ramona Barnes (Nathan); grandchildren, Kim, Bryan, Nikki, Brandon, Kayla and Zakk; sister, Beverly Ellemen; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, Preston Hwy., at Brooks Rd., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Schoppenhorst.
